Since 1913, we have supported safe and secure maritime transport both in Japan and overseas.

Since our establishment in 1913, Nippon Kaiji Kentei Kyokai has contributed to the smooth facilitation of Japan’s trade for over 100 years.
As a pioneer in Japan’s trade inspection, we conduct food safety inspections, quality certification of petroleum products, and troubleshooting of trade commodities, utilizing not only the technology and knowledge cultivated throughout our long history but also the latest chemical analysis equipment.
We are recognized in the industry as NKKK or NK3 – the trusted brand.
Our association is divided into three departments: Certification Department, Survey Department, and Analysis Department, providing various inspection and analysis services for each business area.

Major Operations
Nippon Kaiji Kentei Kyokai (NKKK) is a third-party certification organization that has contributed to improving the safety and reliability of Japan’s trade and logistics for over 100 years since its establishment in 1913.
Through a wide range of operations including measurement of weight and volume of trade cargo, quality inspection, scientific analysis, and accident investigation, we support the optimization of trade transactions and ensuring the safety of logistics.
We also handle analysis operations for petroleum, chemical products, food, metals, packaging containers, etc., utilizing the latest chemical analysis equipment to conduct cargo quality evaluation and abnormality investigations.
Furthermore, we are involved in overall logistics risk management, including investigation of marine and cargo accidents, stowage inspections for safe transport, and evaluation and certification of safety management systems in the transport industry.
We also provide support for global trade transactions through our overseas offices.

 Since our establishment in 1913, our association has continued public benefit activities as an international comprehensive certification organization through inspection and certification services for maritime and international distribution cargo, and we are pleased to celebrate our 112th anniversary this year.
